Just what IS Saginaw Loggers Day?
The Saginaw Logger’s Day Show & Festival began in 1999, and was designed to showcase the history and heritage of logging companies and families in our local communities, including Grays Harbor, Pacific, and Lewis Counties. The annual event is held near the Historic Brooklyn Tavern, in Brooklyn, Washington.
Unlike most other logging shows, this show does not allow professional logging show contestants to compete; most events are limited to those who actually still work in the woods. Local loggers showcase their skills in this family oriented event; food and arts & craft vendors are available for the enjoyment of the ever-growing crowd.
This event is made possible by the hard work of the Saginaw Logger’s Day volunteer committee, local logging companies who donate equipment for the grounds preparation and show, and community businesses who generously donate cash to cover the expenses incurred in order to make the event a possibility.
